The SLED United team is searching for a driven and enthusiastic individual to provide business, administrative, and project level support. On occasion, s/he will write communications and aid in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations.

The skills of the ideal candidate include:

  • Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and attention to detail.
  • Expertise in written and oral communication.
  • Approach that is both positive and professional.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and competence in executive communications development, editing, and distribution.
  • Become a cultural ambassador with a strategic mindset.
  • Who You'll Be Collaborating With:
  • You'll collaborate with the team's directors and leaders, as well as essential business partners.

Who You Are:

You are a self-starter with prior experience assisting director-level executives with their business needs. You are people-oriented and can influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You have operations experience and a passion for fostering innovation, and you can work quickly and effectively in ambiguous situations. You're inventive, amusing, and enterprising.

The following are the minimum requirements:

  • Team player with real-world experience delivering daily deliverables.
  • SharePoint competence, fundamental project management, sophisticated Excel, and PowerPoint skills for executive-level presentations are also recommended skills.
  • Working with cross-functional teams is a plus, as is the capacity to motivate change and challenge decision-making when appropriate.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, confident and strong approach to work, and willingness to question the existing quo.
  • In a fast-paced environment, excellent time management and the capacity to adjust priorities are essential.
  • Thinks beyond the box and comes up with solutions to problems.
  • 8+ years of administrative support experience is required. A minimum of four years of experience working with a principle at the Director level or higher.
  • Previous work experience in the high-tech industry is preferred, as is past Cisco experience in the public sector.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Integrity, Authenticity, and Humility are three words that come to mind while thinking about integrity, authenticity, and humility.
  • Cisco's Core Values and Culture
  • Connected Extender - Able to develop relationships, influence, and work with several teams in order to complete tasks; no team can do tasks alone.
  • High EQ - can develop trust; can read the team and stakeholders to comprehend the 'temperature,' what's not spoken, and what's needed, as well as give team members with a wider picture view.

What are the benefits of Cisco?

#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we work together to make a difference by powering an inclusive future for all. We believe in digital and assist our customers in making changes to their digital enterprises. Some may assume we're "ancient" (we've been around for 36 years) and solely deal with hardware, but we're also a software firm. There's also a security firm. We even created a network that adapts, predicts, learns, and protects itself. You can't put us in a box since no one else can do what we do!

However, without a culture that encourages innovation, creativity, and yes, even failure, "Digital Transformation" is just a buzzword (if you learn from it.)

We concentrate on the give and take on a daily basis. We give our all, set aside our egos, and give of ourselves (because giving back is built into our DNA.) We accept responsibility, take risks, and value diversity. Because there can be no progress without a diversity of views and a commitment to equality for all.

So, you've got a lot of different colors in your hair? It makes no difference to me. Tattoos? Show off your tattoos. Do you like polka dots? That's great. Are you a pop culture nerd? Many of us are in this situation. Do you have a passion for technology and the way the world is changing? With us, you can be yourself! You Belong Here!
